My recent stay at Econo Lodge - Oxmoor in Birmingham, AL was a disappointment. the room smelled bad, and even after requesting a new one, the issue persisted. the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel left much to be desired. Despite the hotel's convenient location near popular attractions and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the subpar room conditions overshadowed any potential benefits. the bed was uncomfortable, and strange items like a shoe under the air conditioner were off-putting. I would recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation in Birmingham to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.
